The Forum For Indian Accounting Research was established in the year 2021. Our vision is to enhance the quality of accounting education and practice in India through independentresearch and thought leadership.
Our objectives are as follows
- Engaging with Indian regulators and national and international accounting standards setting bodies by responding to exposure drafts issued by them.
- Proactively responding to emerging accounting issues and facilitating development of accounting standards through thought papers, advocacy, etc.
- Publish one or more journals, monographs, books, reports, blogs and the like.
- Organize training programmes, seminars and conferences.
- Facilitate data access, creating databases if necessary .
- Working with academic institutions, industry and professional bodies to enhance the accounting research eco-system in India
